Do do do do do do do, do do do do do do do, do do do do do do do do, she is the one named Sailor Moon!
For the first time since 1995, there will be a new Sailor Moon movie in theatres: Sailor Moon Eternal.
Originally teased earlier in the year, as part of a fan club event held to commemorate and coincide with Usagi’s birthday (June 30), Sailor Moon Eternal now has a firm show date attached to it.
Set to hit theatres in Japan on September 11th of 2020, the two-part movie will explore the ‘Dead Moon’ arc. Confirmed staff includes Chiaki Kon (Back Street Girls, Sailor Moon Crystal), alongside franchise originators Kazuko Tadano and Naoko Takeuchi.
A whois search on the domain https://sailormoon-movie.jp/ shows that this new Sailor Moon movie website was registered on October 1st by Toei Corp. While we’ve known about the impending films for some time, details have been scarce up until now.
Two posters for the movie have been released, viewable below, with the more colourful version being the original.
