Revealed recently during Atlus’ Christmas Eve livestream were details regarding the two new dancing spin-off Persona games titled Persona 3 Dancing Moon Night (herein referred to as P3D) and Persona 5 Dancing Star Night (herein referred to as P5D) respectively.
While the games themselves were already known to have been in development, apart from that fact, hitherto not much was known other than the remixing of tunes and the lack of a story mode. During the livestream, details about the games’ release date was shared, along with a second promotional video for each game. Official sites were updated following the livestream, showing off not just new artwork and outfits for the casts, but also a breakdown of the remix artists that will be featured in each game — though it is not yet known if we have been treated to a full setlist yet.
The games will release in Japan on May 24, 2018 for both the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita, with a pair of bundles to be made available in limited quantities. The Persona Dancin’ Allstar Triple Pack rings out for 16,880 yen and contains: both P3D and P5D for the PS4, a digital copy of Persona 4 Dancing All Night for the PS4, a Soejima illustration, and the full soundtrack for both P3D and P5D. It should be noted that the PS4 version of Dancing All Night is not intended to be released in any other capacity, meaning if you want it you should pre-order the bundle ASAP. Also up for grabs is the Persona Dancing Deluxe Twin Plus for 15,780 yen, containing the same goods as the PS4 bundle but for the Vita. However, in lieu of Dancing All Night, the bundle will include alternate Shin Megami Tensei costumes for each cast.
