Microsoft Dubs July Anime Month

by TFG Contributor

Earlier last week Microsoft announced that July is “Anime Month” in the Windows Store. Anime Month is Microsoft’s way of offering savings, free digital downloads, and season passes to their loyal customers and anime fans.

The free digital downloads this month include the first season of Dragon Ball Z, Fairy Tail, and Yu Yu Hakusho. At the time of writing it appears that the discount of these shows (and hopefully the free availability of the aforementioned seasons) will last another three weeks.

There are over thirty different titles that have been marked down as a result of the sale including fan favourites such as Death Note (which is subject to a live-action remake being produced by Netflix), Cowboy Bebop, Steins;Gate, Bleach, Sailor Moon, Tokyo Ghoul, Black Butler, K, Psycho-Pass, and more. The sale even includes some video games, with the second week’s discounts listed below:

  • BlazBlue: Chronophantasma Extend – 40% off
  • One Piece: Burning Blood – 70% off
  • Final Fantasy Type-0 HD – 50% off
  • RWBY: Grimm Eclipse (Team JNPR Bundle) – 50% off

All of these savings and free downloads are made available across different Windows applications and are available here, from the Windows Store App, and your Xbox.
