Pokémon the Series Now Available in HD

Too Far Gone | Squirtle Squad

“I choose you, Pikachu”!

Four words that resonate with those that grew up watching cartoons in the Nineties. Don’t you think its about time to relive those classic moments of your childhood? Good news! The Pokémon Company has announced that you can purchase or rent the first season of Pokémon the Series from online retailers such as iTunes, Google Play, and Amazon. While you might rightfully point out that this season is already on Netflix, this will mark the first time that you can get it digitally remastered. This new remaster, while still sporting its original 4×3 aspect ratio, will be fully HD at 1080p — making it the highest quality version of the product available.

Currently, Netflix’s version of the show is standard definition that upscales to fit your television’s modern resolution. For you quality purists, or those that simply want to take a trip down memory lane, this new release of the anime classic will be the best version to date. Starting on June 27, 2017 you can relive your Squirtle Squad memories and watch Ash capture his Charmander all over again in crisp, clean HD.
