Following the announcement of The Evil Within 2, Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus, and Dishonored: Death of the Outsider at their E3 conference, Bethesda has teamed up with Titan Comics to produce a new tie-in comic series for each game. Titan Comics has confirmed each series will tell a canon story.
First up is a direct lead-in series to The Evil Within 2, which will emulate what Titan did in 2015 with their prequel series to The Evil Within. The new series will follow Detective Sebastian Castellanos as he recovers from the events that took place in the first game, and is unwillingly pulled back into the dangerous world he escaped from when a serial killer unleashes their wrath on Krimson City. Releasing on September 6, The Evil Within: Issue #1 is written by Ryan O’Sullivan (Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War III, Turncoat) with art by Damien Worm (The October Faction) and Szymon Kudranski (Spider-Man).
Next up is a prequel series for Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus. This series will follow B.J. Blazkowicz leading the resistance in Nazi-occupied America, in a lead-up to the new game. Releasing on September 13, the series will be written by Dan Watters (Limbo, Assassin’s Creed: Uprising) with art by Piotr Kowalski (SEX, Dark Souls) and Ronilson Freire (The Mummy).
Finally, the new Dishonored: Death of the Outsider DLC will be getting a prequel comic series as well. Titled Dishonored: The Peeress and the Price, the series will return to Dunwall with Empress Emily Kaldwin and Corvo Attano. Emily comes into conflict with a politician named Archibald Dufrane while an unknown killer is on the loose—a situation that becomes deadly when Emily’s powers falter in the midst of the investigation. Releasing on September 27, the series will be written by by Michael Moreci (Roche Limit) and illustrated by Andrea Olimpieri (Dishonored) and Mattia Iacono (Demone Dentro).
