The next installment of the rebooted Tomb Raider series, Shadow of the Tomb Raider, has been hit by another early info leak. The game’s existence was originally leaked when a marketing presentation for the game was openly worked on in the Montreal subway and noticed by another rider. At the time it was just the game’s title that was confirmed, sparking speculation that development was headed by Eidos Montreal instead of Crystal Dynamics. Today’s leak comes from LA marketing studio Takeoff Creative USA. An image containing multiple proposals for logos and early concepts of key art was posted on their website and made its way to NeoGAF before being removed. The concept art is in very early stages but showcases Lara using new weapons like spears and machetes, and in some images features what looks to be an Egyptian-esque tomb. No other details are known about Shadow of the Tomb Raider, as it missed this year’s E3 conference and Square Enix has been mum on the game’s existence.
No announcement has been made by Square Enix regarding this leak, however Takeoff Creative USA’s entire website has been taken down. Cached versions of their website indicate they deal primarily with video game marketing, offering services from assisting with branding to creating collector’s editions, working with studios in London, Lyon, and Montreal. Interestingly enough, there is another marketing company based in Montreal named Takeoff Creative. A press release has been posted on their website stating they have no involvement with Shadow of the Tomb Raider or Takeoff Creative USA, and are looking into legal measures against the entity operating as Takeoff Creative USA, Murrin Biz Marketing, and Development Inc, for reputation damages.

A leak on a new Square Enix videogame took place on the website takeoffla.com. This leak originates from a third party company named “Murrin Biz Marketing and Development Inc’ which operates on its own and has been using the commercial name Takeoff in the USA.
Takeoff Montreal studio was not aware of this project and did not work on it in any way. We are using all means to avoid any confusion with this company. Also, we are currently looking at legal measures against this American company that tarnishes our reputation.
Should you have any questions, we remain at your disposal:
